100- 120 words each question

  1. What inspired you to choose this concept as the central theme for CoMotion 2025?

While brainstorming with Yao and Anna, we sat down and started gathering ideas for this year’s Comotion. It turned out we each had different goals we wanted to achieve. We organized our ideas into three parts—cinematography, photography, and art—all centered around the theme "Light the Way.” Moth is a good surprise as when we started our pitch deck- we were trying to find an element that could be the signal and represent us in the journey. Also, Blackie, Yao’s cat who passed away shortly before Comotion, changed our understanding of encounters.

  1. Since the project talks about the process of growth and creation, how has leading this project helped you grow professionally and personally?

Working with the team at CoMotion, I significantly enhanced my leadership skills in a professional setting. Many of my teammates had stronger collaboration skills than I did, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from them and work together on such a large-scale project.

My biggest personal growth has been developing resilience—learning how to achieve goals as a leader through teamwork. In a project of this scale, things often don’t go as planned, and that happened quite a lot. How you handle those challenges and your ability to withstand and recover from setbacks are crucial. Quick decisions need to be made during tough times, and I’ve improved in balancing both my own role and my team’s needs.

  1. What kept you motivated through all the challenges you encountered?

The top priority is definitely finishing this project, no matter what. Also, finishing the storytelling of this story and showing it to the audience is another important reason that drives me to complete this project. Finally, the support from my teammates has been incredible—I truly have the best and most supportive team in all of CoMotion’s history.
