Gage- worrying about being fully remote
- setting expectations about being very communicative and setting expectations about how meetings are going to go virtually
- Just let them know what you’re going to do
- Acknowledge that things are hard, but stay positive and you’re going to find a way
- For remote people- meetings last 1 hour
- GIVE SPECIFIC TIME SLOTS
- Manage time and set time limits to meetings
- Don’t want to have people feel like they’re wasting time
- At the end point for design leads
- All have a moment to slot in a two week end period where team is done to make the conformed final animation
- Make sure you have all the project files and things are organized
- What was awkward;
- People are so tired but you still have to do more work
- Will have to put in more hours to rework the scene
- Make sure that you have that 2 weeks at the end to do final touch ups so that everything is finished before the due date
- Owe it to your team to push it towards the finish line
- Emphasize the templates
- Make sure everyone is exporting in the correct formats

- At the end of the day, these people are your friends, so remember to have fun
- As a lead, you can take on some learning experiences
- Keep pushing - this is going to help your whole career
- Pushing for the greater good
- This is why SCAD is so great and why the experience is so good

What did you find to be themes effective way to work with your team? Were you doing 1 on 1’s with everyone or addressing everything in a group meeting? Or a combo?
- 1-on-1 is really nice
- Get out of that zoom world as quick as you can
- Hard to do it with busy schedule but check-in meetings are really good
- Things can be confusing but having personal chats with each and every member and sub chats for people who are working on the same realm/scope of the project
- Had a separate slack for just team members for the emotional support
- Virtual is very hard- got a lot closer after winter break
- The animation team had bi-weekly checking in December then official bi-weekly meetings in January
- Put updates on Frame.io
- If people don’t understand, video recordings of the comments
