100- 120 words each question

  1. What is your hope for the momelove department and CoMotion in the following years?

I hope CoMotion continues to grow not only amongst the motion media design student body or at SCAD. I want CoMotion to become an integral event that everyone who’s in the industry or adjacent to it knows about. I think what is so beautiful about CoMotion is that it’s been running for 16 years, and there is this magic about CoMotion and how it connects all of the SCAD MOME alumni from different generations, whether you graduated in 2010 or 2024; you’ve been to the largest student-run motion design conference in the world, an event for students, by students. The fact that a ragtag team of 10 or so 20-something-year-olds can put on such a special event every year is just amazing to think about, bringing together dozens of professionals from around the world to come to Savannah just to meet students.

  2. Would you say that the momelove family has an influence on you? How so?

MOMELove has been life-changing to me, showing that family exists everywhere. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you're from; when you’re MOMELove, you’re family. When the MOMELove officer team was voted on by the club, I didn’t know most of the team, but there was a strong sense of trust knowing that they wanted to be involved in this event and were ready. Since then, we’ve grown so much and become bound together. I know that the MOMELove officer team will keep in close contact for years.

  3. What is one advice you’d like to give the future presidents and vice-presidents of momelove?

Trust your team, make compromises, but most importantly, don’t be so hard on yourself. Little things might feel like the end of the world, but they’re not. Peter Wang & Tucker Ziegler [MOMELove Presidents 2023-2024] told me, “If you feel like everything is going wrong, you’re doing it right.” All that matters is that you keep going. Don’t shut down when things go wrong; just push forward. You were chosen because people believed you could do this. Scared is what you’re feeling; brave is what you are.
